Online Theory
Complete IAHD theory through D-Learning before you arrive.
Classroom
Standards, partner levels and dive planning with your Instructor Trainer.
Pool
Practical sessions in the pool, mainly role-play: you teach and assist divers simulating specific disabilities.
Sea
Shore dives in Protaras, applying the same skills in open water.
Certification
IAHD Instructor certification and registration.
Usually 1–2 days, depending on the pace of study and how quickly you master the material. Dates are arranged individually.

120 Dives
Minimum 120 logged dives.

Medical certificate for diving, not older than 12 months.

What You Can Teach
As an IAHD Instructor you can train and certify divers with disabilities in IAHD courses, and teach the IAHD Dive Partner course. With IAHD approval, you can also teach IAHD specialty courses for which you are already an instructor with a recognised agency. Depending on your current ratings, IAHD may require additional certifications to teach at every level.

How long does the IAHD Instructor Crossover take?
Usually 1–2 days, depending on the pace of study and how quickly you master the material. Theory is done online before you arrive.
Do I train with real divers with disabilities?
Practical training is mainly role-play: you teach and assist other candidates simulating specific disabilities, in the pool and in the sea.
What does €650 include?
IAHD certification and registration, D-Learning materials, equipment, pool sessions and your first year of IAHD active status.
How is active status counted?
From your registration date, not by calendar year. The first year is included in the course price.
Can I become an IAHD instructor anywhere else in Cyprus?
No. Yurii Prokhvatylo is the only IAHD Instructor Trainer in Cyprus.
In which languages is the course taught?
English, Russian, Ukrainian, German and Serbo-Croatian.
