Online Theory
Complete IAHD theory through D-Learning before you arrive.
Classroom
Standards, partner levels and dive planning with your Instructor Trainer.
Pool
Practical sessions in the pool, mainly role-play: you teach and assist divers simulating specific disabilities.
Sea
Shore dives in Protaras, applying the same skills in open water.
Certification
IAHD Instructor Assistant certification and registration.
Usually 1–2 days, depending on the pace of study and how quickly you master the material. Dates are arranged individually.
Who Can Join
Divemaster
Certified divemaster (or higher) with a recognised diver training agency.
120 Dives
Minimum 120 logged dives.
Medical
Medical certificate for diving, not older than 12 months.
First Aid
Current First Aid, CPR and Oxygen Provider.

Do I train with real divers with disabilities?
Practical training is mainly role-play: you teach and assist other candidates simulating specific disabilities, in the pool and in the sea.
What does €650 include?
IAHD certification and registration, D-Learning materials, equipment, pool sessions and your first year of IAHD active status.
How is active status counted?
From your registration date, not by calendar year. The first year is included in the course price.
What is the difference from the Instructor Crossover?
The Instructor Assistant is for divemasters: you assist IAHD instructors and run Scuba Experience sessions. The Instructor Crossover is for instructors: you train and certify divers with disabilities yourself.
